Sample Coordinator Jobs

Must be local to Calgary, this is an entry level/junior role

The Coordinator of Sample Management will work closely with the Associate Manager of Sample Management in advising, facilitating and managing samples as it pertains to omni-channel content marketing programs for FGL Sports(Sportchek/Atmo). Working with channel owners in eCommerce, Promo Planning, Print Marketing, Merchandising, Strat Marketing, and Brand marketing. In this role you will be coordinating and support the management of sample/product requests for assigned projects to support photography and/or video shoots. This role will aid in supporting our department who conduct production shoots that require support for managing hundreds or thousands of samples including our largest content shoots such as Christmas (3000+ samples), Bikes, Camping, Toys and many other shoots. With limited samples available, this coordinator will help mediate and manage and communicate timelines and availability, to help production negotiate schedules accordingly. In addition to the internal relationships to manage samples within FGL,this coordinator will also manage communication with national brand vendors when requiring product that isn’t private label for FGL/CTC (Examples: KitchenAid, Dewalt, Philips, etc.). The sample coordinator is someone who has a basic understanding of how photography and video production works. At times our producers will be looking to our coordinator to help support facilitating the first conversations with our internal teams to gain information on sample/product availability, and to make suggestions on supplementary skills needs for the project

Skills:

• Must be able to lift heavy boxes, up to 50lbs
• Able to read and follow documentation on product process & workflow
• Highly organized, punctual
• Comfortable meeting and connecting with new people both inside and outside of the organization through, meetings, emails, and phone calls
• Detail oriented
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office, specifically PowerPoint, Excel, and Sharepoint
• Must have a reliable vehicle, familiarity with Sport Chek and Atmosphere locations in Calgary an asset.
• Experience in taking and tracking inventory

What You’ll Do:

• Work alongside production coordinator to assist sourcing, tracking, and shipping samples
• Communicate updates and concerns in a timely manner to ensure deadlines are met
• Pick up product samples from stores and mailroom. Sort and organize product according to photoshoot requirements.
• Track and continually update inventory for samples being used in marketing photoshoots
