Sample Receipt Technician Jobs

The successful candidate must have the following education, experience and/or demonstrated skills:

Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration/equivalent experience

Up to 2 years of Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable or general accounting experience a professional environment.

Strong client service skills to build and maintain relationships

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Superior interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with both internal and external clients.

Provide operational support related to management of reference materials and matrices.

Archive documents associated with the management of study samples.

Keep an inventory of supplies used to manage samples and order supplies when needed.

Entry level position, no experience required.

Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal skills, both written and spoken.

Good demonstrated good computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel and ability to employ sample-tracking software).

Must have strong computer knowledge and skills (MS Office)

Must have strong organization skills and attention to detail

Must have strong oral/written communication and good interpersonal skills

Responsible for organizing sample requests, processing the required paperwork and preparing samples for delivery to customers within requested timelines

Develop and maintain the sample inventory

Determine and process stock orders based on frequency of individual sample requests

The successful candidate must have the following education, experience and/or demonstrated skills:

Generate ad-hoc reports and prepare monthly Cash Management Reports for all accounts

Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration or equivalent experience.

Working knowledge of Elite, 3E or other professional accounting software is an asset

Strong client service skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Limited to no logistics experience

Customer service experience an asset

Reception of samples from clients and couriers

Ensure samples are unpacked and setup

Ensure samples are delivered to the lab in a timely manner

Inform required parties of sample integrity issues through verbal or written means

Time Management and Problem Solving skills.

Proficient computer skills, including MS office along with experience using LIMS is an asset.

Previous customer service work experience would be an asset or experience in a Lab setting would be an asset.

Excellent English communications skills – reading, writing and speaking.

Ensure all sample integrity issues are properly documented and reported.

Ensure incoming non-sample deliveries are properly processed.

A 'can-do' attitude and are tech savvy

A keen eye for detail

Enjoy working as part of a team

Reasonable fitness, as lifting is required

Proven time management skills and a strong attention to detail.

A post secondary education (degree and/or diploma) in a Science related program (Chemistry, Biochemistry) is a strong asset.

A minimum of 1 year of experience in a laboratory setting is a strong asset

Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills including grammar and composition.

Sorting and logging of client samples

Preliminary sample preparation (compositing, drying, grinding, dockage, splitting, homogenization, labelling)

Proven time management skills and a strong attention to detail.

Experience: 0-1 years of relevant work experience required or equivalent experience through education.

Unpack, sort, transfer and dry samples

Execute and perform crushing, pulverizing and screening of geological materials as per SGS’ Standard Operating Procedures.

Proven time management skills and a strong attention to detail.

0 - 1 years of relevant work experience required or equivalent experience through education.

Strong analytical and mechanical skills

Candidates must demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills

Unpack, sort, transfer and dry samples

Execute and perform crushing, pulverizing and screening of geological materials as per SGS’ Standard Operating Procedures.

Experience in taking and tracking inventory

Pick up product samples from stores and mailroom. Sort and organize product according to photoshoot requirements.

Must have a reliable vehicle, familiarity with Sport Chek and Atmosphere locations in Calgary an asset.

Able to read and follow documentation on product process & workflow

Familiarity with Microsoft Office, specifically PowerPoint, Excel, and Sharepoint

Comfortable meeting and connecting with new people both inside and outside of the organization through, meetings, emails, and phone calls
