Job Description

Our client, a high growth Clean Energy company, is looking for am Account Executive to drive sales for new SAAS product. The ideal candidate will have an existed cultivated network of Oil and Gas contacts.


Job Responsibilities:


  1. Business Development:
  • Identify and target potential clients within the oil and gas industry to generate new business opportunities.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the energy industry, with a specific focus on the oil and gas sector, to effectively position and sell our SaaS solutions.
  • Utilize your existing network and relationships to establish strategic partnerships and drive revenue growth.


  1. Sales Strategy and Execution:
  • Develop compelling sales collateral, presentations, and proposals to effectively communicate the value proposition to potential clients.
  • Create and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to meet or exceed assigned sales targets and revenue goals.
  • Conduct thorough market research and competitor analysis to identify key differentiators and position our products as industry-leading solutions.


  1. Relationship Management:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, and implementation, to ensure seamless onboarding and ongoing support for clients.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers in the oil and gas industry, including C-level executives, operations managers, and technology leaders.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding their unique challenges and offering tailored solutions to address their pain points.


  1. Sales Pipeline Management:
  • Track and report on sales activities, pipeline development, and revenue forecasts using Salesforce.
  • Continuously monitor industry trends, market dynamics, and customer feedback to refine sales strategies and drive continuous improvement.
  • Manage the entire sales process, from prospecting and qualifying leads to negotiating contracts and closing deals.


Qualifications:


  • Proven track record of success in SaaS sales, preferably within the energy industry and specifically in the oil and gas sector.
  • Deep understanding of the industry, including the challenges and opportunities specific to the oil and gas sector.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools and sales analytics platforms to effectively manage sales activities and track performance.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong network and existing relationships within the oil and gas industry in Alberta and beyond, enabling you to quickly identify and engage potential clients.
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills, with the ability to navigate complex sales cycles and influence key decision-makers.
  • Self-motivated and target-driven, with a demonstrated ability to work independently and proactively.
