We are seeking an enthusiastic Retail & Experience Manager to join our Black Hills Estate Winery team. Black Hills Estate Winery is situated on the scenic Black Sage Bench in Oliver, British Columbia and has been producing premium wine in this region since 1999. Known for the Nota Bene Bordeaux inspired blend, our focus is precise vineyard management, minimal intervention in the winery, and world class wine experiences offered to the thousands of visitors we see annually.

What You Offer

• A passion for working with the public and customer service
• An understanding of how to provide best-in-class service for guests while also exceeding sales targets
• Knowledge of winery retail Point of Sale software (Wine Direct)
• Ability to be a brand ambassador; you love to entertain others in a fun and engaging way
• 2-4 years retail supervisory experience preferably in a Hospitality/Tourism or luxury retail environment
• Restaurant industry experience, preferably in management or supervisory capacity
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to multi-task while guiding a team
• A "Can Do" attitude and enjoy working in a busy seated tasting environment
• Completed or working towards completion of WSET or ISG/CAPS or have CMS certification desirable

This Teammate Will Be Responsible For

• Supporting the drive for higher sales and support Wine Educators to sell Wine Club memberships
• Financial and inventory management
• Managing all customer inquiries completely, appropriately, and in a consistently positive, professional, and enthusiastic manner
• Supporting on-site events and in-store promotions
• Responsible for sales performance tracking and team training of retail functions within the wine shop
• Being a positive coach and brand ambassador, as well as inspiring our team of Wine Educators conveying a consistent and positive brand story
• Maximizing revenue per customer through non-wine merchandising of the tasting room
• Consistently demonstrating service excellence to all visitors resulting in memorable guest experiences while inspiring a team of Sales Associates to do the same
• Sharing wine and viticultural knowledge in a fun and engaging way with customers and teammates
