Position Title: Lead Accounts Payable Manager
Client Details:
Our client is a well-known Iconic Retail Company in Canada owned by one of the Largest Conglomerates in Canada. The company has been providing best in class equipment and services in the designated sector they specialize in for over 20 years
Role Summary:
Reporting to the Controller, the Accounts Payable Manager is responsible for the entire Accounts Payable functions, including managing a large vendor population, vendor relationships, accurate and on time processing. In addition, the AP Manager is responsible for managing and motivating the Accounts Payable team.
Main Job Responsibilities:
•Manages the Accounts Payable process, which includes, (but not limited to) managing Vendor Relations, processing of invoices, remittances, reconciliation and accruals
•Review and streamline current A/P processes
•Maintains an accurate Accounts Payable sub-ledger
•Ensures accuracy of all invoice coding
•Maintains turn around standards for supplier payments to ensure that all applicable discounts are taken
•Oversees all requests for payment information and ensures that proper payment procedures are followed
•Oversees foreign costing function
•Develops, implements and maintains systems, procedures and policies to ensure adherence to company guidelines
•Manages monthly and quarterly closing and posting of AP records to meet reporting deadlines
•Motivates, trains and evaluates employees to enhance their performance, development, and work product. Addresses performance issues and makes recommendations for professional growth
•Performs other related duties as required
Location:
Greater Toronto Area ** HYBRID WORKING MODEL 3 Days in office rest work from home **
Salary Range:
Based on experience, plus Bonus 10%
Requirements:
•5 to 7 years of experience in an AP management role
•Self-motivated with minimum supervision
•Strong leadership skills with ability to foster continuous departmental improvement
•Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
•Ability to motivate the team and create a positive work environment
•Excellent communication with people at different organizational levels
•Solid understanding of the entire AP function
•Managing a variety of assignments at the same time
•Knowledge of general accounting principles and practices
•Excel proficiency, and strong aptitude with computer systems
•Result orientated and not compromising 100% accuracy
•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
•Good planning and organizational skills to balance and prioritize work
