We are in search of a bilingual Regional IT Support Technician representative for our Mississauga, Ontario location. You will provide fast and courteous technical assistance on our field technology to our employees. You will answer queries on basic technical issues and offer advice to solve them. You will assist in the preparation and deployment of technology for new locations.
Responsibilities
  • Communicate with internal manager, director, and C-level individuals on escalations, as required
  • Manage support tickets within prescribed SLAs
  • Direct unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel or appropriate departments
  • Coordinate the resolution of site outages
  • Determine the best solution based on the issue and details provided by employees
  • Perform remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions
  • Serve as the first point of contact for employees seeking technical assistance via phone, Teams, or email
  • Record events and problems and their resolution in ticket logs
  • Manage technical deliverables for expansion-related projects
  • Provide new field users walkthroughs of the technology available to them
  • Walk the employees through the problem-solving process
  • Follow-up and update status and information in tickets
  • Identify and suggest improvements in procedures
  • Liaise with 3rd party vendors to solve technical problems where appropriate
  • Creation of internal purchasing approvals for net-new equipment and services
Qualifications
  • Willingness to travel within Canada
  • Bilingual French/ English: both written and verbal
  • Experience with SCCM and Intune is an asset
  • Experience communicating technical issues to internal senior leadership/ executive level
  • Good understanding of computer systems, printers, Voice-over-IP, network, mobile devices, and other tech products
  • Proven experience as an IT Specialist/Help Desk or other customer support role
  • Experience with Windows 10 & 11, Microsoft Office, Active Directory, and ITSM ticketing systems an asset
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues
  • Tech-savvy with strong working knowledge of technology, including the various hardware, software, and networking systems being supported
