Job Description

Level 1 or 2 IT Technician


Company: Our client, a reputable Managed IT company based in Whitby, is seeking talented and dynamic individuals to join their team as Level 1 and Level 2 IT Support Technicians. As a key member of their team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional support to clients. This is an excellent opportunity to enhance your IT support skills and be part of a team at the forefront of technological advancements.


Location: Whitby (Hybrid work - on-site 1-3 days a week with the ability to drive to customer sites when needed). Must have a valid driver's license.


Offered Salary:

  • Level 1: $50,000 - $55,000 per year
  • Level 2: $60,000 - $65,000 per year


Key Responsibilities:

  • Document client infrastructure.
  • Provide Level 1 or Level 2 IT support to clients via phone, email, and onsite visits.
  • Configure and support end-user devices; printers, desktops, and laptops.
  • Identify improvements for client infrastructure and security
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues for end-users.
  • Manage user accounts in Azure/M365 and on-prem Windows Server.
  • Install and maintain Windows servers and network devices.
  • Assist with Active Directory and Microsoft 365 support.
  • Triage and organize tickets for dispatch.
  • Create process documents and checklist from client assets and users.
  • Install and maintain Network devices; routers/firewalls, switches, and access points.
  • Deploy and maintain MSP focused ITSM tools.
  • Implement backup and disaster recovery strategies to minimize downtime and data loss.


Qualifications:

  • Technical certifications (such as Azure Administrator Associate, A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified Professional) would be an asset.
  • Experience supporting on-prem Active Directory and Azure AD/M365.
  • 1-2 years of experience in the IT Managed Services support industry.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle to perform occasional onsite visits to clients.
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing principles and technologies.
  • Strong network infrastructure understanding; firewalls/VLAN/VPN.
  • Experience with Azure VDI (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure), networking, and security is an asset.
  • Windows Server experience, including Hyper-V management is an asset
  • Effective communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
