Job Details

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Proposal Engineer to join our dynamic team in the energy industry. As a Proposal Engineer, you will play a critical role in the development and implementation of technical proposals for our innovative energy solutions. This is a permanent position with excellent growth potential and the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects that will shape the future of the energy industry.

Responsibilities

• Marketability Assessment Evaluate the marketability of proposed solutions by conducting market research and competitive analysis. Identify key differentiators and value propositions to enhance the market positioning of our products and services.
• Project Coordination Collaborate with project managers to define the scope of supply and ensure alignment with customer expectations. Support project execution by providing technical guidance and resolving any technical issues that may arise.
• Manufacturing Support Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure the feasibility and cost-effectiveness of proposed solutions. Provide technical guidance and support throughout the manufacturing process, including the review of mechanical drawings and the assessment of manufacturing capabilities.
• Technical Proposal Development Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop comprehensive technical proposals that meet customer requirements. This includes conducting thorough research, analyzing data, and creating detailed technical documentation.
• Continuous Improvement Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in thermal processes and energy solutions. Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the development of best practices within the proposal engineering function.
• Cost Estimation Develop accurate cost estimates for proposed projects, considering factors such as materials, labor, and equipment. Collaborate with finance and sales teams to ensure competitive pricing and profitability.
• Sales Support Assist the sales team in presenting technical proposals to potential customers. Provide technical expertise and address customer inquiries to facilitate successful sales conversions.
• Contract Management Assist in the negotiation and review of contracts, ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer specifications. Prepare and maintain accurate contract documentation, including terms and conditions, to facilitate smooth project execution.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in interpreting mechanical drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate complex technical requirements and develop innovative solutions.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in proposal engineering or a similar role within the energy industry.
• Demonstrated ability to estimate costs accurately and develop competitive pricing strategies.
• Strong knowledge of ISO standards and their application in the energy sector.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in developing technical proposals and managing contracts.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and engage with customers.
• Knowledge of thermal processes and their application in energy systems.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
