Job Description
Location: Waterloo, Ontario, Canada,


Job Type: Full-Time


We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Mechanical Engineer with P.Eng certification to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have experience in HVAC, ventilation, piping, utilities, P&ID, food processing, AutoCAD, 3D Inventor, project start-up, commissioning, and customer onsite support.


Responsibilities:


  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and designers
  • Participate in project meetings and provide regular status updates to management and clients
  • Design and develop HVAC, ventilation, piping, and utility systems for food processing facilities
  • Ensure that project deliverables meet or exceed client expectations
  • Manage mechanical engineering projects from inception to completion
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant codes, regulations, and standards
  • Conduct site visits and provide on-site support to clients
  • Create detailed P&IDs and layouts for mechanical systems
  • Manage project resources, including staff, equipment, and materials
  • Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and departments
  • Perform calculations and analysis for system design and sizing
  • Conduct project start-up and commissioning activities

Education:


  • Bachelor's Degree (preferred)

Requirements


  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • P.Eng certification in Ontario
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites as needed
  • Experience with AutoCAD and 3D Inventor
  • Self-motivated and reliable
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in food processing or related industries
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, ventilation, piping, and utilities systems
