Job Description

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing various projects from initial design concept to product launch phases.

Responsibilities

  • Use project management skills to create project timelines for new products and manage all activities leading up to the product launch, according to the project milestones and deadlines.

  • Be the project technical lead and use engineering analysis and skills to problem solve design, manufacturing and quality challenges.

  • Follow APQP procedures to develop and launch new products.

  • Liaise with customers and provide technical assistance and guidance to aid them in all aspects of the product- from initial concept to its shipment out the door.

  • Read and understand customer Statement of Requirements and specifications, and use this knowledge and understanding to perform Validation Testing.In addition, write the corresponding technical reports and submit them to the customers.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.


  • 2 years of experience in the automotive industry.


  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.


  • Must be analytical and possess good problem solving skills.

  • Must have a strong sense of urgency and be an excellent time manager.

  • Must have a strong ability to multi-task multiple projects at once.

  • Knowledge of automotive products, the APQP process, and launch experience.

  • Experience in plastic injection molding, design of functional assemblies, product validation testing, and knowledge of GD&T, are all assets for this position.
