Role description:
The successful incumbent will be stationed on site and will be reporting to the Project Manager and Site Superintendent. The job duties include but are not limited to: tracking daily project costs/productions and entering them into a cost tracker, producing project documentation (Purchase Orders, Subcontractor agreements, and Etc.), be responsible for processing and reconciliation of subcontractor invoices and completing reports for the Project Manager.
Role accountabilities:
  • Organize, attend and prepare the Minutes of Meeting for the Preconstruction Kick Off meetings with subcontractors/ suppliers,
  • Liaise regularly with project management, sub-contractors, and vendors,
  • Assists with the implementation and updates of planning and scheduling systems,
  • Assists in takeoff quantities, cost estimates (as a secondary duty to project requirements),
  • Managing Client contract communication platform and distributing information requests to groups such as QA oversight, engineering, and field management,
  • Proofreading and fact-checking plans and procedures,
  • Supporting the Site Superintendent and Project Manager with any other tasks that may arise.
  • Aiding in resolving issues and escalating problems as required to appropriate team members,
  • Assists with the preparation of regular progress reports,
  • Continued development and maintenance of existing project cost/manpower forecasting system, including the issuance of monthly reports,
  • Coordinate project administrative functions, drawing control, change order control, trade tendering, purchasing, and general office requirements,
  • Organizes and maintains project files, records, systems and procedures,
  • Handling sensitive and/or confidential information,
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Must have valid Drivers License
  • Exceptional communication, organizational skills, and a commitment to attention to detail in all tasks
  • Experience in environmental and/or civil earthworks construction projects preferred
  • A minimum of 5 years in Canada to be able to complete the Federal Background check
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Be open to indoor and outdoor work environments
  • Be able to interpret project drawings
  • Remain to have flexible schedule to work with project requirements
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize and manage time efficiently to complete tasks
