Creative Manitoba is seeking a motivated individual to play a key role in revitalizing an important program connecting youth with career opportunities in Manitoba. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a re-development process and build new program plans. If you are self-motivated and a proven project manager with an interest in creating opportunities for youth in Manitoba, we are waiting to hear from you.
The purpose of the Manitoba Career Prospects Manager position is to design and manage a new program run through Creative Manitoba. The Manitoba Career Prospects program is a resource to help students, parents and educators explore the many rewarding and enriching career opportunities available in a multitude of industries in Manitoba. The successful candidate will work with the Creative Manitoba team to continue to build on the program foundations already developed to encourage career exploration by:
Program Administration
- Establish and maintain relationships with relevant client stakeholders, providing day-to-day contact
- Engaging with students, career and education professionals, workforce & employment service providers, Sector Councils, and other industry/economic organizations throughout Manitoba to provide relevant and important information that will assist students in making a more informed career path choice
Program Development
- Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan
- Research and implement best practices in career development
- Establish metrics for evaluating events and activities
- Review labour market information
- Assist in the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables
- Community consultations with stakeholders to create a needs assessment and project plan to develop and deliver innovative career awareness activities and events
- Creatively develop necessary resources and events that will fulfill the identified needs in an engaging and useful way in consultation with stakeholders.
Website, Brand and social media re-development
- Based on community consultation and stakeholder feedback with a goal of a more simplified, engaging site with easy resource navigation:
- Work with a web developer to rebuild the current MCP website
- Work with Communications Manager to create and implement a new social media presence
- Work with a graphic designer to create a new brand identity
Knowledge and Skills Required
- Ability to use a wide variety of computer software, including graphic and web-based applications.

Working Conditions and Environment
- Creative Manitoba will provide an opportunity for educational opportunities on an ongoing basis. Employee development will be discretionary and based on the Creative Manitoba Human Resource policy.
- This position will require some travel in and around Winnipeg as well as some rural and northern trips.

Terms of Employment
This is a full-time position – 30 hours per week, a $45,000 annual salary, and an extended health benefits plan available. Start Date September 1, 2023
