Metro College of Technology is a career college in Toronto, Ontario. Since 1998 it has successfully been providing career-focused programs to the public. The college trains its students with state of the art knowledge and skills to meet today’s dynamic job market demand. The programs at Metro College of Technology cover engineering & technology, data science, information technology, and business and management. Currently we are looking for acareer service specialist to provide career service to our students.

Responsibilities:

As a career service specialist, you will perform the following key duties:

1. Prospect employment and co-op opportunities for students
2. Build connection with potential employers that may provide employment and co-op opportunities
3. Train students on how to write a resume and a cover letter and how to prepare for a job interview
4. Facilitate job search and interview activities
5. Visitco-op students and employed students
6. Maintain an employer and co-opplacement provider database and
7. Participate in the related college meeting

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements:

1. a college diploma or a university degree
2. excellent customer service skills
3. professional manner over the phone
4. comfortable with cold calling and proactive in contacting employers and employment agents
5. able to work with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook and computer applications fluently
6. excellent verbal and written communication skills
7. adaptable and able to learnand apply new knowledge and skills quickly
8. patient and approachable
9. a cooperative team member and result-driven
10. Consulting sales experience is a great asset

Start date: as soon as possible.

Compensation: $55k-$65K/year+ performance bonus $10K-$20K/year
