About Our Client
The group is a diversified property development company that carries out land development, construction and property management

  • Collaborate in the preparation of monthly compliance reports for lenders, government entities, and partners, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and contractual obligations
  • Conduct monthly calculations, reconciliations, and recording of revenues, management fees, and interest for each project, adhering to established guidelines and timelines.
  • Assist in the preparation and processing of cash calls, recording and reconciling project distributions and contributions to maintain financial transparency.
  • Utilize the accounting system to set up project budgets, change orders, and estimates, implementing controls and maintenance activities to monitor project expenses effectively.
  • Support cash flow reconciliations and analysis, providing valuable insights for financial decision-making.
  • Prepare comprehensive internal and external partner reports for each project, ensuring accurate representation of GL balances and financial performance.
  • Collaborate with the operations and other teams to process monthly property financials, including tasks such as invoice coding, purchase orders, project details, and variance analysis, as required.
  • Prepare monthly construction draws and collaborate with cost consultants to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Perform regular bank and trust deposit reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Take charge of overseeing the complete accounting cycle for multiple development projects, ensuring accuracy and efficiency throughout the process.

The Successful Applicant
  • Experience working with project management, as well as on development and analysis of cost standards.
  • Supervisory experience a plus
  • System conversion experience a plus.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality, utilize judgment, and work with minimal supervision.
  • 3-5 years of accounting experience, within a real estate company experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting (preferred) or Finance required; CPA a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must have a professional yet personable demeanor
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other spreadsheet applications required; experience with real estate accounting software a plus (JDE, NEWSTAR, YARDI).
