Senior Accounting Manager Jobs

The position of Senior Accounting Manager is responsible for all financial reporting and budgeting processes for the company. The incumbent provides financial and analytical support for the operations and sales activities within PIACAN. The incumbent is responsible for the effectiveness and stabilization of reporting and compliance to Finance guidelines, as per the CFO / Executive Vice President, PIA North America, and to local government regulations. The incumbent has excellent financial acumen skills and a passion for finding solutions to complex problems. The incumbent shall be a self-starting, highly detailed professional who practices discretion and ownership in all company matters.

Responsibilities

• All other duties as may be assigned
• Adhering to all health & safety practices and policies
• Ensure all business activities are performed with the highest ethical standards, in compliance with the company’s code of conduct
• Oversight and analysis of the all financial reporting, accounting statements, and general financial activities of the company
• Work with executive and local leadership to identify cost saving opportunities, primarily on efficiency improvements for day-to-day operational activities
• Assist with monitoring job costing for project materials and resources for budgetary planning and financial management
• Accurately, timely, and completely maintain accounting records including reconciling General Ledger account balances
• Safeguarding of company assets
• Prepare and report monthly balance sheet income statement changes and variance balances
• Review and assess areas of business risks and develop policies, in cooperation with executive leadership, to minimize or eliminate risks wherever possible
• Ensure that financial reporting is in accordance with all regulatory and required formats and compliances
• Reviewing ERP system data with internal leadership team
• Liaise with professional advisors on legal, audit, and accounting matters as required
• Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term plan as required; identifying areas of risk by preparing executive summaries of business plan for executive leadership review and approval
• Negotiate with vendors on contracts, when required
• Hedge foreign currency exposure, when necessary
• Coordinate filing of all required government reports and returns, including all tax reporting

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years related experience as a Sr. Accounting Manager or similar
• Self-motivated in a time-sensitive working environment
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong analytical, financial, and accounting skills
• Experience using an ERP system in a production / manufacturing environment
• Post-secondary degree specializing in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
• Exceptional organizational skills and ability to proritize competing responsibilities
• Professional designation including CA or CPA
• Proven experience with PC-based accounting systems and software
• Advanced understanding of accounting principles, fair credit practices, and collection regulations
• Ability to work well under pressure to meet strict deadlines
• Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively with personnel at all levels of the organization
• Capable to work with minimal supervision in a team-oriented work environment
• Highly ethical with strong personal integrity
• Fluent in English
