Reports to: Manager, Finance
Purpose of the Role The Senior Financial Analyst, Reporting and Consolidation is responsible for providing comprehensive, accurate and timely financial reporting. The role actively completes the required delegated activities associated the processes relating to the month-end close, P&L and Balance Sheet adjustments and reconciliations. The role ensures adherence to IFRS reporting standards.
The role completes all required internal controls as it relates to ICFR processes including updating control documentation and completing remediation activities for internal control processes that the role has been delegated. The role is responsible for providing information as requested relating to the annual financial statement audit activities.
This is a full time remote role based in Ontario.
Core Accountabilities

• Complete any documentation requirements for the year-end audit process with the External Auditors and Internal Audit (as necessary)
• Complete as delegated, any other reporting or analytical requirements as part of month end activities
• Ensure ICFR internal controls are maintained as have been delegated, including updating the documentation for the controls
• Ability to perform ad hoc projects in support of the Manager Finance
• Complete the implementation of new or revised accounting policies, practices and procedures for reporting
• Complete all delegated month-end close processes and accounting activities including all accounting entries, balance sheet and P&L adjustments, project tracking requirements and reconciliations to enable the close to occur in C+5 days.
• If gaps are assessed by audit functions, remediate gaps as per committed timelines
• Ensure financial statements are prepared in accordance with new or revised IFRS reporting standards, implementing, as delegated, any changes required to adjust LifeLabs financial statements

Minimum Qualifications And Skills

• University Degree
• Strong analytical and business planning skills in order to solve problems and research and escalate issues, when necessary
• Must have Accounting Designation, CPA (or at a final stages)
• Developing management presentation capabilities
• Experience with ERP systems (Oracle, Oracle Cloud, SAP, EPM application suites preferred)
• Minimum 3-5 years previous experience working in finance
• Good understanding of finance processes and data requirements
• Strong computer and reporting skills with an advanced proficiency in MS Excel and Word
