Global Accounting Manager Jobs

As the Global Accounting Manager, you work with the Chief Accounting Officer to develop/improve/monitor general accounting practices to ensure compliance with US GAAP, complete monthly consolidation, coordinate completion of the annual audit and taxes, and work with the various business units to improve accounting processes and controls.

What would a typical day look like?

• Work with Convergix Business Units to manage enterprise cash flow
• Creation of a 13-week cash flow forecast on a regular cadence
• Manage accounting for Convergix parent companies.
• Appropriate internal controls framework
• Completion of annual audit
• Prepare the consolidation for all Convergix Automation companies
• Completion of valuation of acquired companies
• In partnership with the external partners and accounting leaders to facilitate and coordinate preparation of the following:
• Oversee daily cash management to ensure accurate reporting and analysis in conjunction with weekly/monthly cash forecast.
• Complete financial statements and balance sheet review to assist with compliance of proper accounting policies
• Completion and filing of all appropriate tax returns
• Manage credit agreement to ensure proper submission of loan and continuation notices and ensure timely principal and interest payments
• Manage FX risk on an ongoing basis
• Plan and coordinate consolidation of specific accounting functions into a shared services model
• Completion of transfer pricing policies
• Establish the appropriate allocation methodology for shared services
• Manage CPM and FAS software[KB1] [PG2]
• Prepare financial statements for the Board of Directors
• Proper variance analysis and explanations
• Researching accounting issues for compliance with GAAP
• In partnership with the Chief Accounting Officer
• Deploy and maintain appropriate transfer pricing policies
• Coordinate the annual budget/periodic forecasting process
• Assist with integration of acquired companies
• Establish consistent accounting policies across Convergix companies
• Build and maintain partnership with Convergix Business Units accounting leaders – become their trusted advisor to help manage complex accounting issues and help maintain efficient processes and controls. Work with the accounting leaders to establish the following:
• Completion of purchase accounting of acquired companies
• Efficient repeatable month-end process

What qualifies you for this opportunity?

• Strong negotiation skills
• Have the ability to form and stand behind opinions
• Have well-developed sense of ethics and integrity
• 5+ years’ experience as an accountant
• Strong analytical skills
• Comfortable with risk and working with ambiguity
• Must be able to work independently and be self-directed.
• Strong problem-solving skills, ability to interpret data and to present the findings to the relevant stakeholders in a clear and concise way
• Excellent computer skills; advanced experience with Excel required
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required (CPA preferred)
• Proficiency with accounting software.
• Strong presentation skills
• Exceptional leadership abilities
• Strong interpersonal skills working with individuals and building collaborative relationships
