Position Summary

This role is responsible for daily operations management, transportation expense optimization, logistics customer service, and appointment management.

Principal Responsibilities

Carrier Performance Management:

• Ensure carriers are adhering to customer requirements
• Customer delivery escalations
• Performance management – on-time execution, traffic claims, capacity coverage, recovery options

Transportation Expense Optimization:

• Spot rate management
• Manage mode/carrier tender criteria for load planners to optimize based on schedule, service and cost targets

Logistics Customer Service:

• Manage home delivery/swap orders
• Collaborate with SCM to manage key priorities through to final delivery execution
• Analyze patterns of Logistics performance failures by region or customer and develop solutions to improve
• Coordinate with load planners and appointment team to track delivery status

Appointment Management:

• Develop relationships with key customers for improved support on appointment requests
• Manage execution for appointments, ensuring SLAs are maintained

Load planning Management:

• Ensuring loads are built in timely manner in TMS
• Optimizing load consolidation and managing load planning team

Return booking Management:

• Managing return booking team, to ensure RA (return authorizations) are being created in timely manner

Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities

• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize and maintain flexibility in a fast-paced, changing environment
• University Degree in Business, Finance, or Supply Chain
• Supply Chain and/or Logistics certifications also an asset
• Finance/Accounting key principles
• Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office suite (Excel proficient)
• 5+ years of relevant experience

Work Location

• Hybrid remote, 5 days in office starting November 1, 2023
