We are hiring a NEW role for a Commercial Operations Specialist to join our collaborative team. This person will be responsible for partnering with sales & applications leadership to develop, implement, and sustain best in class Commercial Operations processes to drive organizational strategic growth goals across Pall Water!


The role will provide leadership with analytical data and insights to make strategic and tactical business decisions. The Commercial Operations Specialist will provide understanding of drivers that influence sales performance to impact optimal processes within the commercial organization.


In this role, a typical day will look like:


Commercial Operations Protocol (40%)


  • Proactively identifies opportunities for sales process improvement. Works closely with sales management to inspect commercial process quality, prioritize, and implement opportunities.
  • Collaborate with sales leaders to support deployment of consistent funnel management and improvements through SFDC and creating Standard work for the Global sales team.
  • Benchmark Pall Water commercial operations practices with internal and external best practices, making recommendations/gaining internal approval for execution of improvements and project management of implementation.


Sales Tools/Customer Relationship Management (Salesforce.com) (30%)


  • Perform day to day Salesforce.com administrative tasks and address production support issues. Tasks include data updates, ad-hoc reporting, and user account management.
  • Manages the Salesforce.com CRM software including specifying and implementing changes, ensuring pipeline accuracy, and managing compliance.


Data Management & Analysis (30%)


  • Works with Sales, Applications, and Marketing teams to define KPIs. Maintain subject matter expertise with sales data sources and tools.
  • Monitors the accuracy and efficient distribution of sales reports and other intelligence essential to the commercial organization in a timely fashion. Recommends revisions to existing reports or assists in the development of new reporting tools as needed.


The essential requirements of the job include:


  • Bachelor’s degree/diploma in business, marketing, engineering or related field with 3+ years exp
  • 3+ years of Commercial operations experience in sales, marketing, product management, customer service or other related commercial roles
  • Knowledge of reporting and data analytics tools like Excel, SAS, Power BI, Qlikview, Spotfire, Tableau, Business objects
  • Ability to travel when needed for meetings and site visits. Up to 10% of the time. Primarily throughout North America via car or airplane.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage business processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to structure and conduct analyses to generate insight and recommendations.


Preferred qualifications:


  • MBA degree
  • Salesforce.com (or equivalent) certifications
  • 5+ years of Commercial operations experience in sales, marketing, product management, customer service or other related commercial roles
