Mission
The Health, Safety and Environment – HSE- Advisor plays a strategic role in terms of support, prevention and health and safety management within the organization. The incumbent will be called upon to enhance managers and employees’ awareness and guide them in their choices in terms of health and safety in the framework of engineering projects. Please note that this new employee could be assigned to any one of our primary offices in Ontario, while travelling between various locations up to 30% of the time. The possibility of working remotely and decide on your schedule according to the objectives.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Participate in the COR audit process & in ongoing continuous improvement of CIMA+ HSE management system, develop training programs and facilitate training sessions
  • Develop and review safe work procedures in partnership with employees
  • Promote the firm’s culture regarding HSE
  • Issue recommendations in terms of HSE and ensure OH&S legal compliance form Ontario operations
  • Support the risk assessment process and participate in project planning when needed
  • Accompany and support employees and managers on work sites
  • Support HSE Committees in their work, lead investigations following incidents, near-misses, or other type of events
Profile
  • Strong communication ability (spoken and written)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the area of HSE
  • Bachelor’s degree in HSE or the equivalent
  • Experience on construction sites or industrial environment
  • In-depth knowledge of legislation and best industry practices in Ontario
  • Have a Certificate of Recognition (COR) and a valid driver’s licence
