McCormick Canada is currently looking to hire a Customer Business Manager to join our Canadian CPD Sales team at our Mississauga, ON office .


Description Of Position


This position will be responsible for the development and execution of our corporate business plans for our major customers.


  • Work closely with cross-functional partners (Finance, Retail, Insights, Trade Marketing, Brand, Supply Chain) to develop creative and winning solutions to meet both internal and external expectations.
  • Address activities/issues at the account to grow sales and profit. This will include providing recommendations internally and externally to follow-up on the annual business plan and take advantage of new opportunities and risk mitigation.
  • Forecast management - responsible for keeping all stakeholders up to date with forecast changes and holding customer accountable to commitments
  • This position will craft recommendations and execute the required plan to mine all growth opportunities leveraging relationships and organizational resources. Collaborate, sell and negotiate through various levels and functions of the customer’s organization.
  • Directly responsible for the planning and execution of all activities for assigned customers. Plan promotional, new product distribution, pricing and feature activities to drive seasonal and incremental sales volume. Develop and maintain key relationships within all key departments: buying, merchandising, supply chain, marketing and retail operations.
  • Develop comprehensive understanding of customer strategies, business plans, practices and processes to optimize business results. Build strategic partnerships and gain customer alignment to targets (sales and profit) that support internal plans and develop annual customer plan to deliver on targets.
  • Develop and implement trade promotion strategies and tactical plans with the customer.
  • Keep abreast of all developments both competitively as well as within the customer and report critical information to the balance of the sales and marketing teams.


Required Qualifications


  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Dynamic personality to manage different business cultures and business partners
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, balance multiple priorities and respect deadlines.
  • 2-5 years’ experience in CPG Sales or Marketing.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team oriented with strong presentation skills
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills, ability to develop innovative and flexible analysis for management review.
  • This job requires a high level of team collaboration with sales counterparts and supply chain.
  • University Degree in Business Administration/Marketing or equivalent experience
