Key Responsibilities:

Support BCMA Tech Portfolio management lead in Budget planning, financial

forecasting/actual, variance analysis, and champion continuous improvement.

Maintain high levels of awareness to support BCMA Tech Portfolio/Program/Project(s)

Managers in tightly managing financial aspects of the portfolio/program/project(s)

Work with Portfolio management lead to reduce risk of cost overruns; monitoring financial

aspects so that corrective actions can be taken if required to bring projects into financial

governance

Assist and advise Portfolio Management team to the best use of project management

disciplines and approaches within a fast-paced, high tech environment

Assist and monitor financial management for the portfolio by monitoring Project overhead

and capital expenses to ensure achievement of cost efficiency and acting to correct any

adverse variances-

Provide reports and analyses to senior managers to identify savings/rebalancing

opportunities and support for strategic planning.

• Continuously evolve thinking wrt delivery and support
• Good sense and knowledge on how budget ties into various aspects of a portfolio

Give meaning to data by investigating complex problems and make sense of information

and confident to communicate the same in an impactful way

How You’ll Succeed/Qualifications

• 7-9 years of relevant experience in Tech with a strong and robust understanding of a typical IT project lifecycle.

Minimum 4 years of experience in financial management at a portfolio level and reporting to

senior stakeholder is a must

Comprehensive understanding and knowledge of finance, change, risk, and schedule

management processes.

• A good understanding of Finance, Project Management and PMO competencies

Expertise in Excel & MS Office Suite, including demonstrated capabilities with pivot tables,

VLOOKUP’s, and formulas

• Excellent written, spoken, and presentational communication skills.

Relationship Building- Required to respond to Portfolio management lead, Program and

project managers inquires and requests. You will liaise and interact with project managers

as part of the daily management of your portfolio.

Perform the validation and reconciliation exercise of monthly actuals and forecasts with the

project budget/plan

Monitor, track and analyze the project financial accruals and project recoveries on a monthly

basis and work with Finance to ensure accuracy of meeting budget target

Review monthly forecasts and financial updates provided by the Project Managers for

completeness and accuracy
