Our position:


We have an exciting opportunity to be a founding member of the GBS Project Management Office (Enterprise PMO) which will be created and mobilized in Q4 2023. Our vision is to build and deliver a global Enterprise PMO service that will deliver real business benefit through responding to the ongoing internal business demand for high-quality project management capabilities across the company, whilst also retaining and iterating the knowledge we gain. We will set the highest quality standard and work together to achieve critical goals on-time, on-budget, and in adherence with standard methodology and tools delivering value across the organization.


You will work within the GBS Project Management Service team to deliver the service quality, whilst also working with the business as a project expert, responding to their demand for project management through mobilization to scoping, planning, tracking, reporting, engaging, understanding change management, communicating with customers effectively and handing over to the business at an agreed time and quality. You will excel at maximising a standardized approach in relation to tools, templates and methodologies to ensure a consistent and quality customer experience driving repeat business and new demand from functional areas.


  • Identify actions needed to progress plans and assign individual responsibilities; driving accountability for completion
  • Understand and adopt the required quality assurance policies and procedures while adhering to the Enterprise PMO project management delivery methodology
  • Accountable for managing projects that deliver >$500k of benefits and task managing a project team of typically no more than 10-20 people.
  • Establish a Communities of Practice with the other Project Managers and Leads within the wider team and take a coaching mentality to each other in sharing knowledge to bring the team to an agreed standard of quality; holding each other to account where quality falls short. Embed a customer service approach and hold accountability for iterating the service within the team; encouraging teamwork and collaboration
  • Work with the project team to build and deliver detailed project plans where appropriate, and revise them to meet changing needs and requirements to ensure outcomes are met effectively and efficiently
  • Capture and understand scope and requirements and acquire business sign off before moving to design.
  • Identify, recruit or agree timely inputs, and task manage resources needed to deliver specific projects.
  • Ensure change management is considered from the outset and working closely with the business as they craft the solution; lead the conversations and ask the right questions gaining new insights to ensure the best strategic decisions are made for the organisation.
  • Define, implement, and drive project governance across a mature and supportive landscape


Basic Qualifications:


  • Proven track record in delivering high-risk projects
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance, Business, or Healthcare-related major
  • Strong communication and relationship building skills with experience in collaborating and sharing knowledge between teams and balancing political agendas
  • Demonstrated ability in programme/project management for medium-complexity projects with global reach
  • Ability to clearly articulate sophisticated concepts to ensure understanding and alignment to business requirements
  • Experience of managing and controlling a project budget
  • Experience considering risks, evaluating alternatives, and encouraging input from others to effectively make decisions and plan mitigation tactics
  • Ability to perform effectively when faced with unclear solutions or opposing viewpoints


Desirable Qualifications:


  • Management Consulting experience
  • Project Management Certification
  • Pharmaceutical or equivalent global & complex organization experience; experience of working within a quality and compliance environment and application of policies, procedures and guidelines
