Job Posting:Dance Teacher

Stagecoach Performing Arts, a musical theatre training program dedicated to developing creative courage through the performing arts, is looking for a new dance instructor to join our Toronto East team for the upcoming Fall Term.

We follow a strict Child Protection Policy; all team members must have or be prepared to obtain an up-to-date Vulnerable Sector Police Background Check.

We are currently looking to fill the position of Dance Instructor for our Main Stage (ages 6-16).

Position Available:

Dance Teacher - A skilled, enthusiastic dance teacher who can teach fun, recreational classes in jazz/musical theatre/contemporary to students ages 6-14yrs.

Classes are held on Saturdays; 9:30am-12:30pm & 2-5pm in Leaside

Term dates for this contract: Sept 30 – Dec 9 (10 weeks)

No classes over Thanksgiving weekend.

The ideal applicant should have:

·Enthusiasm as an arts educator with experience teaching dance

·An excellent sense of play & fun, and love working with children in a positive, organized and encouraging way

·A strong training and performance background in their discipline

·The ability to choreograph and teach group numbers for performance

·Experience working with children

·Willingness to collaborate with other artists and teachers on the team.

·Decent knowledge of musical theatre repertoire
