Job Description
Fusion Security continues to grow and provide professional security services throughout Greater Vancouver and the Lower Mainland, with clients in a wide variety of sectors, including government, retail, commercial sites, industrial sites and residential areas. We are searching for qualified professionals to join our team, where you can make an impact through your exceptional customer service and communication skills.


Overview


We are looking for a dedicated, detail-oriented, and proactive professional for the position of Operations Coordinator. The successful candidate will be responsible for fulfilling all scheduling obligations in the Operations Center, as well as other administrative and operational duties. The successful candidate will have a consistently high level of integrity and the ability to work autonomously.


This position is the main and direct point of contact for security officers and supervisors on shift, proactively maintaining regular contact regardless of their assignment. The successful candidate will receive necessary training to develop and strengthen relevant skills related to and as required by the needs of the position.


Position Responsibilities


  • Responding to emergency calls and giving direction
  • Professionally communicating with clients over the phone and/or via email as required, with respect to scheduling needs
  • Maintaining communication with supervisors, site managers, and security officers
  • Planning and scheduling static security officers for sites as required
  • Assigning tasks to Field Support Supervisors


Position Requirements


  • 1+ years in an administrative and data entry role is an asset
  • Valid BC Security License
  • High School diploma; post-secondary education is an asset
  • 1+ years of experience in the security industry
  • 1+ years of experience in a scheduling or dispatching role
  • Technical skills including advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, the Windows Operating system, and the ability to type at least 70 WPM

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain positive relationships with Fusion Security staff and clients alike
  • Ability to deal fairly and tactfully with employees, providing clear and consistent leadership and guidance when speaking to security officers
  • Strong multi-tasking abilities to effectively complete tasks in timely manner
  • Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems


REPORTING STRUCTURE


This position reports directly to the Operations Manager. In addition, the position will receive direction from other Senior Fusion Security Management from time to time.


SHIFT STRUCTURE


  • Full time: 40 hours per week
  • Location: Fusion's Head Office in Burnaby
  • Availability: Must be available for day or night shift, 7 days a week
  • Shift Model: 12-hour shifts, based on a 4 day on 3 day off schedule
