General Description:
Under general direction of the VP Operations, the National Field Manager, Multi-Residential will be responsible for training and providing continued support to all Multi-Residential Field Technicians.The candidate is expected to lead by example through executing scope of work, as per contractual requirements, identifying potential customer related improvements and added value services and products. The National Field Manager, Multi-Residential will foster professional relationships with clients, property management & building staff to ensure customer service excellence while managing and supporting the Residential Field team.
Characteristics, Features, Requirements:
This is a full-time position that requires management, organization and strong verbal/written communication skills. You will have a thorough understanding of multi-residential sub-metering systems and technical requirements and will provide direct supervision and technical support to the field services team. You will be responsible for overseeing a growing team and handling and scheduling the on-going service requirements, meter reverification and SE04 verification for Carma’s multi-residential portfolio.You will also demonstrate your ability to work independently and perform all of the technical requirements found with each of the primary work responsibilities described below.Critical to these responsibilities, is the requirement to complete assigned tasks successfully and on-time.
Reporting:
The National Field Manager, Multi-Residential reports to the National Project Manager or designate; who will assign, monitor and review performance goals and objectives and work schedules.
Important and Essential Duties:
The duties of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
National Field Manager, Multi Residential- Responsibilities
·Manage Field Technician team in the day to day operational and technical aspects of multiple small- and large- scale projects;
·Provide Level 1, 2 and 3 training and coach Technicians to successfully complete relevant accreditation;
·Participate in project meetings with sales team and clients and identify and assemble project completion schedule for each project;
·Review and fully comprehend the project contracts, scope of work, specifications, CCDC II Documentation and project proposal documentation to minimize exposure and risk of each project;
·Ensure project documentation has been reviewed and is complete, current, accurate and stored/distributed appropriately;
·Track project deliverables with the Project Coordinator;
·Review and signoff on engineering documentation and project submittals as required;
·Collaborate on procedural protocols that will lend to a more uniform, accurate and consistent submittal and reporting system of Measurement Canada documentation from the field services;
·Communicate and demonstrate to the field services the importance of following and enforcing all Measurement Canada Rules and Regulations;
·Perform random Field Services Compliance Audits & schedule regular technical training sessions on field work;
·Address Technical and or productivity issues and efficiencies observed during the Work Audit and Technical Evaluation to the National Project Manager;
·Provide feedback to technicians for review and the initiating of any necessary corrective action;
·Participate in Employee evaluations and provide dialog on team members strengths, weaknesses and further training requirements.
·Review and approve new configurations as developed by all Field Services Team for submission to Projects/Production team.
Experience/Knowledge/Ability
·Numerical Competence; ability to solve complex problems, manage and analyze data;
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and administrative skills; accuracy and attention to detail;
·Willingness to undergo training for field Installation Inspection and Verification Accreditation ‐‐ Levels One, Two and Three;
- Professionalism, integrity and compliance;
- Ability to learn software quickly, advanced computer skills and expertise in spreadsheets, and data manipulation;
- Exceptional organization and time management skills; ability to multitask and manage demanding workload with tight deadlines;
·Demonstrated successful history of Project Management leadership including leading multiple simultaneous projects for a minimum of two years;
·Demonstrated skills in the application of Project Management fundamentals, methodologies, and tools;
·Demonstrate the practical application of all Measurement Canada Rules and Regulations;
·Excellent leadership, problem solving and conflict resolution skills;
·Ability to read blueprints, engineering drawings and plan sets;
·Knowledge of sub-metering systems.
Qualifications
·7+ years experience in related electrical/utility or construction industry;
·3+ years experience management experience;
·Comprehensive understanding of multi-residential sub-metering system installation for hydro, water, gas and thermal
·Post-Secondary School Graduate in Project Management and/or Electrical Trade;
·Knowledge of electrical power theory;
·PMP designation is considered an asset;
·Computer proficiency with Microsoft applications & scheduling tools;
·Where applicable a valid driver’s licence, and proof of insurance coverage is required.
Working Conditions
·Ability to work safely in various settings such as electrical rooms, construction sites and office buildings;
·Demanding workload & tight deadlines;
·Occasional work out of town and outside of regular office hours will be required as part of your regular duties;
·Ability to work safely on ladders and automated lift devices (training provided);
·Appropriate safety wear is required (provided).
