LOCATION: North Vancouver, BC
START DATE: September 4, 2023
REPORTS TO: Director of Operations & Marketing

Good to Grow, created in 2011, is a teaching, coaching, mentoring, and industry event company working to support BC food and beverage businesses to introduce and grow their brands in multiple market channels. The Company works with BC food and beverage brands in all stages of business: Seed (start-up), Sprout (emerging) and Growth (expansion). Events include: workshops, cohorts, From the Ground Up Conference and Trade Show, and Pitch & Plate.

JOB SUMMARY
We are looking for a detail-oriented individual who is a strong self-starter and can thrive in a fast-paced work environment with multiple priorities at once. The Marketing & Event Coordinator reports to the Director of Operations and Marketing and is an integral part of our team.
You will be responsible for the planning, organization, and execution of Good to Grow’s events. You will also be responsible for the promotion, marketing materials, and administration of events, including the collection of feedback from participants and support in the writing of any post-event reports.
Events Include, but are not limited to: one-day workshops, ongoing learning cohorts, pitches, networking, and our annual conference and trade show.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Coordinating with Social Media Manager to market events on all social channels
- Management and flow of event days
- Creating and sending email blasts
- Outreach and marketing to target audience for each event
- Update and grow Good to Grow contact list for each event
- Planning and execution of required marketing materials
- Organize, disseminate, and collect required paperwork/documents and payment
- Support management in determining budget for events and adhere to budget
- Generate feedback forms, organize and collect data from participants, and support the reporting of successes and lessons learned in line with sponsorship requirements
- Support management in securing speakers, locations, and sponsorship
QUALIFICATIONS
- Post-secondary diploma, preference for post-secondary degree, in a related field (preferably Marketing or Event Planning)
- 2+ years of experience in special events planning
- Strong project management skills
- Experience in BC Food and Beverage Industry is a definite asset
- Clearly and professionally communicate, both written and verbally
- Efficient multi-tasker and able to thrive in a dynamic work environment
- Resourceful and able to problem solve in fast paced and high stress environments
- Experience with Microsoft Office, G-Suite, Canva, Constant Contact, and Adobe
- Self-starter, self-motivator, and able to work independently
- Experience organizing and managing events with 20 - 200 attendees
- Dependable and meet deadlines on a consistent basis
- Exceptionally organized and detail oriented
- High energy person that genuinely enjoys interacting with people
PROBATIONARY PERIOD
The probationary period for this position is 3 months.
HOURS OF WORK
40 hours per week. Some evening and weekend work is required (events, trades shows, etc.).
COMPENSATION
$52,000 annually.
