About Charmed Aroma:

Charmed Aroma is a consumer product brand that introduces candles and bath bombs with surprise jewelry inside! The company was started with the founder looking for the perfect gift for his girlfriend who happened to love jewelry and candles. So we combined them together and the rest is history!

Since then, our product portfolio has expanded to include other home decor and bath and body products like perfume, body lotion, and hand soap. Not to mention, we have a lot of franchise products with Disney and Warner Bros.

Charmed Aroma has over 1 million followers on social media and sold over 5 million units!

We have over 10 retail stores across Canada and the United States. Our online stores also ship around the globe which includes Canada, US, AUS, UK, and Europe.

About the Role:

Marketers who want to launch a career in retail / eCommerce / digital media, who strive for constant success and who have strong analytical skills will excel in this role. A team attitude, a good sense of humor, and an ability to learn and execute fast are a must. The right person for this role possesses a passion for the creative use of paid media, improving techniques, tracking and providing analytical insights to achieve our aggressive growth goals. Your role will be to keep an eye on new marketing channel opportunities that could be applicable to our business. You should be comfortable analyzing data and able to make recommendations on how to leverage that information to grow the business. You will be responsible for the management and optimization of our marketing campaigns across various channels, including SEM (RLSA, Adwords), paid social (Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest), display (Google Display, Criteo, Adroll, Google Remarketing).

Reporting to the Director of Marketing while working alongside a marketing manager and art director, the overall objectives are to deliver consumer insights & trends in digital behavior and to recommend modifications to digital platforms in order to optimize the consumer experience and drive e-commerce sales. This role is measured primarily on profitable sales growth across all digital channels and the expansion of social reach.

What you will do:

Creative Content Development


  • Work with the design team (marketing manager and art director) to develop marketing units, display ads and other creative as necessary
  • In summary, you craft and execute a content strategy that spreads Charmed Aroma’s message to new audiences and existing prospects
  • Pitch copywriting and advertising creatives to the team for new ads (Facebook, Google, Amazon)
  • Create keyword, interest, behavior, and contextually targeted pay-per-click advertising campaigns
  • Actively contribute to customer acquisition brainstorming sessions and ensuing growth strategies

Paid Traffic Generation


  • Sales Funnel Optimization - Develops a “conversion funnel” that reduces customer acquisition costs while simultaneously increasing both immediate and lifetime customer values
  • Own the process from tracking and technical integration to trafficking campaigns, optimizing, and determining success
  • Set up product listing ads, dynamic remarketing ads
  • Lower down user acquisition cost
  • Manage campaign budgets, channels and expenditures to meet efficiency targets
  • Develop understanding of key industry metrics and the ability to recognize how they might impact the business (ROAS, CPA, CPC, ROI, CPM, CTR, etc)
  • Create A/B and multivariate testing programs to continually improve ad copy and creative, bidding strategies, etc
  • Develop and execute pay per click PPC strategies on digital platforms such as Google, Facebook and Amazon to grow a customer base profitably

Reporting


  • Create and update daily & weekly performance scorecards that monitor campaigns and track traffic and conversion metrics to enable continuous improvement of our marketing efforts; including marketing caps calculation

Analytical


  • Audit measurement and listening tools. Provide recommendations on necessary tool set to measure advertising effectiveness and to drive insights
  • Diagnoses site problems and tests new solutions that increase profits for all incoming traffic, by increasing conversions in sales funnel, landing pages, and key conversion pages
  • Analyze data from Google Analytics and make recommendations on how to use that data to increase effectiveness and efficiencies across digital platforms

Must Haves

  • Capacity to work some evenings and a few hours on weekends, monitoring and adjusting budgets and traffic performance
  • Analyzes data to derive deep consumer insights
  • High tolerance for ambiguity with proven ability to drive to action (you enjoy building things / learning things on your own)
  • A talent for pattern recognition and strong ability to learn the ins and outs of a market, including what drives it
  • Leverages psychology principles to creatively achieve marketing and sales goals
  • You strive to remain current with relevant trends and best practices in a digital marketing environment
  • Strong interest in retail and e-commerce
