Job Description
We are currently looking for a Learning and Development Manager for Cannabis New Brunswick. The Learning and Development Manager is responsible for identifying, training, developing, and implementing strategic effective learning initiatives and processes to enhance individual, team, and organizational performance. They will conduct Training needs Analyses for employees to determine deficiencies in knowledge, skills, and attitudes required to maintain or improve performance. The successful candidate will work remotely but must reside in New Brunswick.


Responsibilities


  • Assess compliance training and adherence
  • Drive brand values and philosophy through all training and development activities
  • Adjust priorities and manage time to support the business needs most effectively
  • Assist managers and trainers in solving specific training problems, either on a one-to-one basis or in groups
  • Communicate with employees regarding scheduled training
  • Develop training programs on identified learning needs to address the competency/skills gap of employees
  • Coach and support managers with the performance development programs and objectives.
  • Track effectiveness of training programs, and provide regular follow-up
  • Create training materials such as case studies, PowerPoint presentations, and worksheet handouts
  • Evaluate existing training programs, and partner with management team to revise or create new training programs based on business needs
  • Evaluate training and development needs in an ongoing basis and provide regular follow-up with retail teams and corporate office
  • Manage and maintain in-house training programs and equipment
  • Evaluate organizational performance to ensure that training is meeting business needs and improving performance.
  • Support the development of current talent and potential including succession planning
  • Provide “mentor” support to new managers
  • Keep up to date with training trends, developments, and best practices.


Qualifications


  • Ability to develop interactive, creative, and comprehensive training programs in a variety of areas
  • A minimum of 3 years of training and development management, preferably in a retail environment
  • Strong understanding of talent planning including succession planning
  • Must have strong organizational and time management skills
  • Proven ability to complete full training cycle (assess needs, plan, develop, coordinate, monitor, and evaluate)
  • Critical thinker with innovative problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner at all levels of the organization
  • Bilingual in both French and English is considered an asset
  • Highly computer literate with proficiency in MS office and related business and communication tools
  • Ability to actively contribute to organizational growth and development
  • Strong ability to lead, motivate and teach colleagues ensuring they remain engaged with the learning content
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, education, Human Resources, or related field preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team


Working Conditions


  • Remote (must be based in New Brunswick)
  • Must be 19 years of age or older
  • Must be willing to travel to our locations across New Brunswick when needed
