• 8-10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in various end-to-end technology projects/programs or organizational change initiatives
• Proficiency in agile planning methodologies
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to coach and provide guidance to new Business Analysts, establishing a standard of excellence in BA work
• Proven track record of coaching, mentoring, and providing feedback to other Business Analysts
• Knowledge of computer science, engineering, or equivalent to support business solution activities, including requirements gathering and testing

Day-to-Day

Insight Global is seeking a Lead Business Analyst to join a large client in Markham on a hybrid basis. The Lead BA will be helping spearhead a new Centre of Excellence which will focus on assisting project teams and providing guidance to other roles that require expertise in business analysis. They will take on a functional coaching and mentoring role, ensuring that Business Analysts adhere to established processes and best practices. A part of the role will be conducting requirements gathering activities, not around projects, but around the context of identifying areas for improvement in project delivery processes and internal business analysis within the client's organization. You will review requirements submitted by other Business Analysts, scrutinizing them and providing recommendations for remediation. They will be responsible to monitor the implementation of these recommendations to ensure their successful execution. Additionally, playing a role in discussions aimed at aligning Business Analysts, Project Managers, and Solutions Architect synergies within the new BA initiative, acting as an ambassador for the changes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background as a Business Analyst on a wide variety of projects, coaching and mentoring skills which will enable them to guide other Business Analysts, in addition to knowledge of various business processes, computer science, and Project management.
