Position Summary
PointClickCare is seeking a Business Process Analystin our OCIO team. The OCIO team partners with other teams across the business to understand end to end processes and identify improvement opportunities that drive increased efficiency and value for the company’s critical business lifecycles.
Reporting to the Sr. Director IT & Security, the successful candidate will be an individual with strong business and technical aptitude, problem-solving skills, with a focus on operational analysis, attention to detail, a positive professional attitude, and the ability to work in a fast past environment.The Business Process Analyst serves as an enabler of change, identifying key opportunities and gaps in core business processes.
The right individual for this role thrives in a fast-paced environment, loves problem-solving and is a strong verbal and written communicator. The Business Process Analystwill be a process design expert in areas of business process optimization, enterprise level processes, and architecture.This role drives continuous improvement utilizing best practice methodologies and principles to understand and transform end to end business processes and related systems and data relationships to improve operational effeciency, effectivness and support strategic business priorities.
Key Responsibilities
  • Understand end to end processes and identify and advise on process improvement opportunities that drive increased efficiency and value.
  • Define the impact metrics and success criteria to measure business processes driving business capabilities and certain value streams/lifecycles.
  • Provides expertise to the enterprise for improving and optimizing business processes, to help provide the foundational understanding to support solution design.
  • Facilitate process walk-throughs for validation and approval with project and/or business leads, including running process simulation and process validation excises to vet process designs before committing to development path.
  • Collaborate with business partners/business process owners to develop, document, and communicate new or improved processes.
  • Design, document and maintain the enterprise process mapping catalogue according to the process framework for the organization and aligned to key business capabilities and value streams.
  • Facilitate process governance activities, including reviewing process design changes, serving as a process advisor to enable adoption of consistent and centralized enterprise-wide processes
  • Use sound BPMN (Business Process Model and Notation) and process analysis best-practices to create, enhance and maintain business process workflows. Apply sound knowledge of business process requirements within the SaaS industry.
  • Lead and support business process optimization critical initiatives and related requirement development, conducting gap and impact analysis related to as-is and desired future-state processes. Identify critical relationships and provide guidance on upstream and downstream process impacts, including any risk mitigation solutions, and the necessary implementation workstreams and success criteria.
Required Experience
  • Must include experience with complex cross-functional enterprise-level projects,value,with digital transformation projects a significant plus.
  • Experience in mentoring or sharing expertise on process improvement principles across multi-functional teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience
  • Must include experience in critical business processes including, or in equivalent to, lead to cash, hire to retire and go-to-market programs.
  • Significant previous experience as a business process analyst/specialistwithprogressive success in multiple environments and/or programs
  • Ability to effectively communicate and drive cross-functional change with a sense of urgency.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification or other continuous improvement or process management certification or knowledge desired.
  • Experience in Agile methodologies including project management, iterative design, build and delivery.
  • Persuasive and credible presentation and facilitation skills; ability to influence and negotiate.
  • Strategic and systems thinking, problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Experience with facilitating and documenting various types of visual process mapping including tying together end-to-end processes, journeys and value streams.
  • Experience with business process re-design, evaluating and recommending business process improvements to drive efficiency and effectiveness core processes.
  • Some understanding of various systems analysis methodologies, including data analysis, data mapping, data process modelling, flowcharts, uses case development, story writing, set-up / configuration of systems, user acceptance testing and product documentation to collaborate with data architecture and business analysts, ensuring they receive the process requirements needed to execute on the above deliverables during solution and delivery.
