Your Role

We are currently seeking a Junior Project Manager. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Responsibilities

• Manage transmission and distribution related projects. Manage staff and subcontractors to ensure cost effective, safe and timely completion of projects to meet or exceed client expectations
• Authorize commitments of expenditure on the project and approve payment of invoices
• Prime interface with client and other shareholders
• Work with a team of skilled engineers, designers, procurement and construction specialists, contractors, vendors and other project support staff/stakeholders.
• Manage change control of Projects
• Develop, track and maintain project schedules and budgets
• Identify and manage project risks
• Provide leadership to the Project Team

Qualifications

• A university degree in engineering. Other professional qualifications will be considered with relevant experience
• Effective communication, organization and presentation skills
• Transmission and distribution/Hydro experience is considered an asset
• Working experience in principles and practices of power/energy engineering as applied to design and construction of projects is preferred.
• Has experience in the preparation of proposals for clients.
• 3+ years of working experience as a Project Manager on power/utilities/energy related projects is considered an asset.
• Experience with industry related scheduling systems (MS Project, Primavera).
• Experienced in the use of MS Office suite including Word, Excel, Powerpoint.
• Demonstrated experience in developing project execution plans and budgets.

A requirement of working for Tetra Tech is that you are at least 18 years of age and legally entitled to work in Canada. (A copy of a valid work permit may be required.)
