Job Description

Adecco is currently recruiting for a Junior HR Administrator for a 3-month contract with a strong possibility of becoming a permanent role. Our private client based in Nepean, ON. Ideal candidate must be able to work on-site.

The Junior HR Administrator will have the following responsibilities:

  • Attending Job Fairs, recruitment drives and other similar events, to promote recruitment;
  • Assists in the development of bi-weekly work schedules for all front-line staff, with the assistance of Dispatcher Supervisors, to meet operational needs and ensure adequate staffing levels are maintained throughout the company;
  • Organizes and attends various Human Resources related company functions, such as Employee Town Halls, employee appreciation events, leadership meetings;
  • Maintains active and current employment ads, within budget, to meet company objectives;
  • Takes minutes for weekly leadership meetings;
  • Assists in coaching and leading supervisors through behavioral concerns, performance management, and promotional training;
  • Maintains the security of all employee files and ensure that documentation is complete and accurate in these files;
  • Developing all interviewing protocols, conducting interviews, and hiring new attendants, dispatchers, managers;
  • Provides auditing and quality control functions including ensuring all staff are following Human Resources related policies and procedures, that all current versions of policies are in circulation and that all employee files and training regimes are up to date;
  • Assists in developing and managing company policies and procedures;
  • Provides a support role to other members of the Leadership Team, in Human Resources related functions, such as payroll, progressive discipline, coaching, performance evaluations;
  • Managing and coordinating all continuous training programs.
  • Managing the Indeed, Glassdoor and any other recruitment related portals and websites;
  • Conducts all Time and Attendance functions, across the company, including tabulating all hours for hourly employees, bonus calculations, validating hours and conducting time checks, submitting summaries and reports to the finance department for payroll every 2 weeks;
  • Acts as a liaison between Employee Representatives and management, including organizing monthly meetings and preparing reports to the CEO;

The Junior HR Administrator must meet the following mandatory requirements:

  • Must have completed Human Resources Management Certification or equivalent;
  • French is considered an asset
  • Must be fluent in English and French;
  • Must have CHRP designation or in progress;
  • Experience with processing payroll is considered an asset
  • Must have 2 years’ experience in Human Resources.
