Our Client, one of North America's most experienced submetering providers, is looking for an experienced IT Manager with strong knowledge in Microsoft Azure Cloud architecture and Microsoft 365.
What You Will Do

• Maintains and administer the IT infrastructure processes such as add, moves and changes to active directory, storage systems, Azure cloud, servers, network, application hosting, backup , server level patching, infrastructure security.
• Plan and manage all IT functions, including server and network infrastructure, business systems development and support, data management and general IT support services.
• Implement technical and/or non-technical changes to meet organizational goals in reliability, and quality of services.
• Participate in the design, support and continual improvement of an end user support including: Help Desk, onsite desk side, virtual desktop, application packaging / patching, mobile device support, voice/video conferencing, and IT projects.
• Manage requests for proposal/services processes, determine service requirements, sourcing vendors, determine costs and timing, negotiate terms and conditions with vendors, and monitor work/service/product quality and performance.
• Directly manage and support the End User support, Network, Infrastructure, cloud services and security components with onsite IT staff and third-party service partners.
• Support a governance structure that aligns IT application initiatives with business priorities while balancing resource constraints (human and fiscal) to optimize IT investments.
• Provide dashboards, metrics, and KPIs to manage, support the support processes.
• Help standardize organizational processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs of storage and servers
• Prepare and maintain operations, Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP) that supports the Business Continuity Plan (BCP), and Security Plan to ensure timely and effective restoration of data and IT services in the event of any disaster or failure.
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
• Identify and implement process improvements in the architecture and/or infrastructure of existing systems.
• Participate in Agile projects and lead in both business and IT project work/tasks, as required.
• Remain up to date on new and emerging technologies within area of technical expertise and serve as resource to business and employees.
• Manage all IT service partners within contracted SLAs and engage negotiate with new partners to deliver technology roadmap and migration to cloud based technologies.
• Maintains and administer collaboration platforms such as Microsoft 365.
• Lead ARB process and approvals for new projects, initiatives, and future technology roadmaps
• Assist senior management with review of IT vendors in procurement
• Recommend information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organizational outcomes and opportunities
• Operational ownership of cloud and on-premise IT Infrastructure and collaboration platforms.
• Perform IT infrastructure audit tasks and understanding of NIST

What you will bring:

• Ability to quickly learn new business functionality and technology
• Proven leadership and interpersonal skills, such as facilitation, collaboration, liaising and negotiation.
• Strong working knowledge of cloud computing including Microsoft Azure, AWS and Google as well as Microsoft 365 (specifically MS Excel and MS Project), Google Workspace, Microsoft DevOps and networking concepts.
• Exposure to Request for Proposal process as well as the due diligence process in support of acquisitions
• Proven experience in IT project development and management.
• Proven expertise with Cloud hosted technology and a thorough understanding of IT Security and networking principles and practices.
• Certification in Microsoft Azure designation considered an asset
• Excellent analysis, problem-solving, team, conflict management and time management skills
• ITIL foundation experience and certification an asset
• Experience is the telecom or utilities Industry is considered an asset
• Previous experience or knowledge of Meter Data Collection database/Software and Oracle based billing application (CC&B/CCS) an asset
• Ability to clarify complicated technical concerns to non-technical individuals.
• Demonstrated skill in managing Azure Cloud and costs
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Demonstrated experience managing or delivering IT services within outsourced and managed services environments.
• University Degree from a recognized institution or equivalent formal educational program and relevant IT technical and project management experience
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated successful IT management experience in Infrastructure
• Experience with managing and supporting AZURE, AZURE AD, AWS and Microsoft 365 Admin
