Hr Generalist Jobs

Are you a "Jack of all trades" in the HR profession? Are you an experienced HR Generalist with strong attention to detail?

The Human Resources Generalist provides HR expertise to facilitate recruitment, policy development, professional development and organizational planning. Will also sit on the executive board to provide HR advise once a month. This is a 3 month full-time contract position with the possibility of becoming permanent in the Education sector. Start date: ASAP.

A typical day:

• Provide internal HR support to the organization
• Handle full cycle recruitment, including writing job postings, prescreening candidates, scheduling and conducting interviews, writing offer letters and facilitating onboarding protocols
• Assist with compensation planning, including
• Support managers and directors with performance management and coordinates quarterly reviews
• Administer company benefits and incentive programs
• Manage budget for professional development
• Organize and maintain personnel files and all HR related documentation updated
• Administers and updates HR policies, programs, systems and tools

Successful candidates will have:

• Attention to detail and confidentiality is essential
• Post Secondary Education in Human Resources Management or related area of study
• 5 years of progressive experience in an HR Generalist role, having a variety of HR responsibilities
• Experience managing people as this position will have 1 direct report
• Candidates should be legally entitled to work in Canada and be in Calgary, AB.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of Alberta HR legislation
• CPHR certification preferred
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with Bamboo HR is an asset
• Outstanding listening and communication skills.
