Position: Human Resources Generalist

Location: Toronto, ON

Salary Rate: $75,000 - $80,000 per year

Status: Permanent Full-Time

Industry: Food Manufacturing

Shift: 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM

Responsibilities

• Oversee Occupational Health & Safety policies and procedures (Claims Management).
• Oversee employee probationary reviews; completion of the reviews, tracking database.
• Oversee Recruitment / Talent Acquisition, including the job posting process.
• Responsible for new hire orientation packages and administering safety training.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by the HR department head.
• Process and assist with payroll process ( bi-weekly payroll, year-end T4’s).
• Participate in investigations related to disciplines and workplace violence harassment.
• Respond to Human Resources inquiries from employees and Management.
• Oversee benefits monthly reconciliation, and remittances.

Qualifications

• Intermediate to advanced computer skills (i.e., PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
• Hands-on experience working with Human Resources legislation and regulations.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Outgoing, positive, energetic, and supportive personality.
• Between 4 to 5 years of demonstrated HR Generalist experience, preferably from a food manufacturing environment.
• Post-secondary education in Human Resources Management or a related field (completed or in progress).
