Our team is growing! We are looking for an HR generalist to have a constant HR presence for our Ontario team members! You will work in collaboration with 4 team members in Quebec. We manage the Fransyl Group which includes several companies. Travel to Quebec may be required. You will walk from site to site about 20 minutes by car.
Responsibilities :
- Implement and assist in the development, implementation, communication, and maintenance of HR policies and procedures
- Organize different social activities as a team
- Provide HR advice, and support to managers and employees on matters related to HR policy, practices, legislation, performance management, goal setting, employee relations, and employee engagement.
- Provide assistance and support to employees that have questions or concerns
- Write job descriptions
- Process criminal and reference checks
- Lead Group Benefits administration and other programs as necessary
- Participate in cycle recruitment and onboarding of new teammates in Ontario including active participation in the interview, obtaining employment references, facilitating the hiring
- Maintain and enhance employee benefits programs including compensation, health insurance, expenses, vacation, and other personnel packages
- Help with Security management; create and update policies; train and support staff during the introduction of new protocols, processes, and personnel; ensure staff have necessary tools to perform their duties; in consultation with staff at the head office
- Implement actions for continuous improvement, and develop efficient management tools such as performance management.
- Other duties as required
- Write letters and disciplinary notices
- Make the worksheet for payroll and send it to the payroll department, (leave, vacation, illness, bonus, etc.)
Skills :
- Bilingualism is an important asset (French/English)
- 3+ years in Human Resources preferred;
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook);
- Extensive knowledge of HR policies and procedures;
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or a related program and/or experience;
- Strong listening, oral, and written communication skills
