Food Production Operator Jobs

Seeking experienced Food Production Operators in the Hamilton area for a permanent position.

Candidates will be responsible for various activities on the production side of things, including but not limited to preparing packaging for food products, using machines to fill packaging, loading filled packing onto skids, and most importantly monitoring the workspace ensuring strict sanitization standards are upheld. Candidates will also be responsible for preparing and correctly labeling samples of products, for which good attention to detail is required.
MUST be comfortable with weekly rotations (nights, afternoons and days).

Responsibilities

• Ensuring safety and cleanliness
• Responsible for the monitoring of food safety controls including metal detection
• Sanitation of equipment
• Other duties as required
• Operate packging equiptment
• Ensure products have been sampled and samples taken to lab for analysis
• Timely completion of production activities
• Packaging and labeling products
• Collaborate with mill staff
• General labour work in the production area

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
• Ability to work rotating shifts required
• Post-secondary education or equivalent
• Experience in agriculture or food manufacturing
• 2 to 4 years of production experience
