Production Worker - Machine Operator Helper

Our client in the aerospace industry is looking for an experienced worker with a good personality, who loves to learn and is able to work in a fast-paced multi-faceted environment. We are looking for someone who is comfortable using measuring tools, and hand tools, has worked with machines, and has experience in a manufacturing environment
This role is permanent with full benefits
You will expect full-time, stable hours
Shift: Day, 8:30 am – 4:30 pm; Monday – Friday
Location: South end of Ottawa (near the airport) – NOT BUS ACCESSIBLE
rate: 20-22/hr

Responsibilities
Operating the Band saw
Measuring raw materials and cutting this based on the requirements of the client
Meticulously handling the material and ensuring it is properly tagged and reported
Following the diagrams and reports provided and inputting the correct information
Measuring and cutting material with precision and accuracy
Prepare proper documentation needed
Stocking supplied and material in their proper aisles while tagging each
Qualifications
Must know how to use various measuring tools and equipment
Experience using a machine and equipment in a production setting is a plus
Must have very good attention to detail
Must be able to work with a team and independently
Must have experience in production and manufacturing settings
Must be comfortable with physical labour – lifting, standing for long periods of time, the movement for the entire shift
