Objectives & Measurement – Key Responsibilities:

• Performing other related duties as assigned
• Manufacture steel castings to be used in mining and construction
• Duties may include: making molds, making cores, melting steel, pouring molten steel, flogging excess material, grinding castings, heat treating castings, etc.
• Maintaining a clean and environmentally safe work area
• Adhering to workplace safety policies, regulations and compliances

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

• Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times
• Working knowledge of safety standards of equipment
• Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills allowing one to work effectively in a diverse working environment
• Ability to work independently without supervision and meet tight deadlines
• Experience in a Foundry and/or heavy manufacturing is an asset
• Must have a valid high school diploma or equivalent
