Job Title

Reporting to

• Production Supervisor and Leadhand

Position Purpose
To follow formulas and ensure proper ingredients are scaled accurately
Key Accountabilities
Ensure food quality along with standard productivity
Responsibilities

• Ensure scaling and mixing area is neat and clean, working ahead to enable assistance with mixing
• Ensure dough’s are finished in a timely manner- preventing downtime between batches
• Responsible for start-up, picking up formulas, and reviewing mixing schedule
• Ensure all variances to formulas are noted and reported to Leadhand and Supervisor
• Document all ingredients and lot numbers used throughout the shift
• Ensure proper documentation, labelling, and cleanliness of ingredient bins
• Work closely with mixer and Leadhand
• Ensure ingredients are replenished throughout the shift and monitor dough schedule to ensure ingredients are ordered for change over
• All other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Leadhand
• Able to operate mixer for relief and vacation
• Ensure that all employees are aware of their responsibilities specific to food safety, legality and quality
• Arrive to work on time and with all tools to perform tasks
• Adhere to all applicable job procedures as outlined in SOP
• Assist with the loading of ingredients into the mixer
• Adhere to food safety practices and ensure they are observed during the shift
• Keep work area clean and tidy throughout shift and at end of shift
• Adhere to GMPs and Health and Safety rules as outlined in employee handbook
• Thoroughly empty and clean ingredient bins on a weekly basis
• Assist in other positions/departments when needed
• Inform Leadhand and Supervisor of any quality issues immediately
• Ensure all minor ingredients are screened and scaled accurately according to current and up-to-date formulas

• GMP and Safety Awareness
• Must work with speed and accuracy to keep up with the production process
• Be trained on operation of electric pump truck
• Must be dependable and punctual
• Service oriented --- high need to please
• Level headed -- does not overreact under stress
• Must be focused and have attention to detail
• Team player
• Effective communicator

• The production areas are often loud, exceeding 85 decibels, due to the machinery that is running; earplugs are required to be worn while in the bakery at all times
• The temperature of the environment within the production area can range from 58 - 80 degrees Fahrenheit depending on the department
• Depending on position, some employees may be exposed to dust; dust masks and respirators are available if required
