TPD is proud to support our renowned and growing Canadian-owned and operating client to secure multiple full-time Production Operator to join their team in Hamilton, Ontario, our client is seeking entry-level to skilled workers to support the production of high-quality roofing materials.
These full-time permanent Production Operator positions offer a competitive starting salary of $27.01 / hour to start, going up to $28.01 / hour after 90 worked shifts. The company invests in its employees by providing ample training; therefore previous experience is prefered but not required.

Position Overview
Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible for running the production line. This includes operating machinery, ensuring that raw materials are fed properly through the manufacturing process, resolving line stoppages, clearing equipment jams, verifying finished products against quality specifications, and ensuring that products are properly prepared for shipment, including operating a forklift.

What You Will Be Doing

• Operate counterbalance, propane-powered forklift
• Inspect raw material and finish products per quality specifications, and conduct quality checks at regular intervals
• Operate manufacturing equipment
• Enter waste, downtime data into system.
• Adhere to safety policies, programs, procedures, and complete general housekeeping duties and additional duties, as assigned

What You Will Need

• Forklift experience an asset
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs regularly and stand for extended periods of time
• 1 year experience in industrial manufacturing or construction preferred but not required
• Ability to wear PPE (hard hat, safety footwear, safety glasses, hearing protection, and gloves) at all times required
• Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
• Ability to work a rotational shift
