Responsibilities


The Finance Analyst contributes to PepsiCo Beverages Canada’s success by acting as an integral part of the Canadian Finance team. In addition to providing business and analytic support, this position contributes to PBC’s success by proactively monitoring business trends and identifying risks and opportunities to maximize PBC’s business performance. Success in this role will require results-driven behavior, solid organizational skills, intellectual curiosity, strong financial analytical skills, technical strength, interpersonal skills and the ability work both independently and as part of a team.


  • Support stakeholders based on changing environments and strategies
  • Lead the financial Annual Operating Plan (AOP) development, target setting and execution of financial plans
  • Forecast deviations from AOP/prior forecast on a periodic basis with supporting causes of change and any risks/opportunities highlighted
  • Participate in period end meetings, presenting and explaining discrepancies between forecasted values and actual results.
  • Provide insight and analysis into drivers of change for key metrics: volume, trade spend, net revenue, margin contribution (gross margin) and net profitability vs prior year
  • Assist with ad-hoc and cross-functional projects as required


Qualifications


  • Ability to prioritize and excel in a fast-paced environment
  • Solid Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and financial modeling skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree (business or accounting specialization or designation preferred
