The primary goal of the Global Talent Acquisition (TA) Operations team is to create meaningful experiences for both candidates and recruiters. The team focuses on understanding the unique requirements of candidates and strives to offer simple solutions to complex processes to help make lives easier. Through the provision of tailored and curated experiences during critical moments, the team helps to make every day better.
Reporting to the AVP, Global Talent Acquisition Operations, the Director, Talent Acquisition Transformation & Intelligence, will play a critical role in driving positive change and innovative talent acquisition technology solutions focused on modernizing our approach within the talent acquisition function.
Key Accountabilities
Strategic Implementation:
You will inform and execute against the Talent Acquisition strategy through the analysis, interpretation, and delivery of key projects related to technology enhancements and process improvements.
Talent Insights And Data Intelligence
Because you are both business-oriented and technically-savvy, you’re able to explain data findings and translate insights and recommendations into the language of the business. You collaborate and build partnerships across Human Resources (HR) as well as IT, Advanced Analytics, Strategy, Finance and other areas of the business. You’re able to use available technology (Workday, PowerBi, Viva Insights, etc.) to help your team and HR answer key business questions that deliver strategic value at the right time and cost.
What You’ll Do
  • Apply design thinking and human centered design practices and principles when designing colleague experiences.
  • Advance the understanding and use of advanced analytical techniques and data literacy across the TA function.
  • Design, develop, and maintain business intelligence solutions (dashboard & interactive reporting tools) to empower end-users to be self-reliant. Optimizes and automates the process used in creating monthly, quarterly reports.
  • Identify and deliver innovation and improvements (process, systems, tools, routines etc.) to deliver exceptional end to end experiences and increase efficiency and effectiveness in our day-to-day TA operations.
  • Design and implement reporting strategies and products to enable better data-driven decision making and investments.
  • Guide and help drive our TA technology and process transformation initiatives, globally.
  • Lead advanced insights work by applying expertise in data modelling, data visualization, and quantitative analysis, to see beyond the numbers and help inform, influence, support, and execute our people decisions. Focused attention will be on hypothesis exploration and answering business questions that drive better people and business outcomes.
  • Use data to provide insights, creating executive-ready summary presentations that tell a compelling story, including recommendations for action.
  • Work with global project and stakeholder groups across different time zones while maintaining positive relationships with colleagues across HR Centre of Expertise (CoE) partners.
  • Manage talent analytics and data for Talent Acquisition (TA). This includes producing quarterly reporting and scorecards, combining data from multiple sources, and providing responses for TA support and audit activities including regular completion of RFP and consultant questionnaires.
  • Leverage Microsoft Power BI to build and develop a consumer grade analytics interaction layer.
  • Act as an internal advisor by understanding business needs, scoping data requests, synthesizing insights, and recommending solutions to our clients in collaboration with other members of the people analytics team and our partners.
  • Drive forward product enhancement and enablement within our HRIS platform – Workday – and integration of other people systems and technology to enable better data integrity, reporting, and insights.
  • Leverage deep expertise in people systems, technology, and analytics to advise and support leaders to identify, measure, and monitor improvements on key people initiatives.
  • Design and implement dashboards and reporting that present data in a relevant, meaningful, and actionable framework for leadership.
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and HR data privacy policy.
  • Creating a quarterly executive dashboard on progress.
  • Support the Global Head of TA which may include:
  • Preparing summary presentations for review with our Executive Leadership Team (ELT).
  • Helping to prepare for speaking engagements, drafting communications, and developing agendas for key HR/TA management routines.
  • Documenting and tracking progress quarterly against our annual HR/TA priorities.
We Are Looking For Someone With
  • Talent Acquisition professional (preferably within Operations)
  • At least 5+ years of hands-on experiences on developing BI solutions preferably with Power BI.
  • 7+ years of experience working in one or more of the following as a/an:
  • Deep knowledge of enterprise-wide HR Technology optimization and or deployments in the space of Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Learning and/or Core HR.
  • HR Generalist
  • People Analytics professional at a fast-growing and innovative company or related experience
  • Business transformation project specialist/lead focused on strategy and/or deployment, supporting global, large-scale initiatives
  • People leadership responsibilities for a small team.
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal), including ability to deliver compelling client presentations.
  • Strong understanding of HRIS, Learning and Recruiting cloud technologies (ie ATS, Labour Market Insights, CRM, LXP, LMS, Interview/Video Technologies, Chatbot etc).
  • Experience leveraging SQL, DAX, Python, R language, and BI tools to develop meaning.
  • Data modeling
  • Strong understanding and proficiency in the following:
  • Excellent analytical thinking for translating data into informative visuals and reports.
  • ETL Design and Development
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple clients simultaneously, work with remote teams, think creatively, have excellent time management, and take initiative to drive projects.
  • Data visualization
  • Intermediate to advanced expertise with relational databases such as MS SQL, MS Access, Enterprise Data Lake.
  • Proven experience redesigning processes using Human Centered and/or LEAN design principles.
  • Adept in developing, publishing and scheduling Power BI reports.
  • Data lineage, integrity, and validation
  • Intermediate to advanced level in MS Excel (including PowerPivot).
  • Data quality and clean up
  • Ability to lead clients from discovery through execution with demonstrated ability to influence and consult (providing options with pros, cons and risks) on key decisions during project delivery.
  • Experience producing project documentation (e.g., project plans, project charters, communications plans, deployment plans).
  • Report development
  • Flexibility to attend and participate in conference calls that are convenient for stakeholders in both North America and Asia.
  • Expertise in using advance level calculations on the data set.

The annual base salary for this role is listed below.
Primary Location
Toronto, Ontario
Salary range is expected to be between
$100,500.00 CAD - $180,900.00 CAD
