The Director, Business Process and Compliance acts as champion of business process efficiencies and Compliance across MSC Canada. The ideal candidate is a collaborative influencer and change agent, who is well versed in various methods of process improvement and project management.
Reporting to the VP, Client Services, the Director, Business Process and Compliance drives recommendations through data and analytics to maximize process efficiencies enhance the customer experience within our Client Services group. They will also oversee any regulatory compliance directly impacting our Service, Documentation and Bookings areas.
Key Accountabilities
- Prepare necessary presentations for monthly and quarterly business review.
- Manage the on-demand reports and analysis as required by the leadership team.
- Use statistical tools to identify, analyze, and interpret patterns and trends in data sets that could be helpful for the diagnosis and prediction of customer’s behavior.
- Supervise the release of new projects, including the new CRM project.
- Oversee the delivery and data integrity of KPI reports.
- Foster a culture of close collaboration with internal stakeholders and identify common objectives to scale-up improvement to a multidepartment level.
- Provide regular benchmark and market intel.
- Oversee the delivery of weekly area performance reports to key stakeholders.
Qualifications
- 5 years' experience in a project management function.
- Demonstrates ability to work collaboratively with and influence a cross-functional, matrix group.
- High learning agility, high change agility, and sense of urgency.
- Minimum 5 years' experience leading a team within a customer service, logistics, supply chain and/or a similarity complex environment/sector.
- Minimum undergraduate degree, a Master's degree or MBA, an asset.
- Highly analytical with continuous process improvement mindset.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills (Clear with the right narrative, key messages & delivery) in both official languages.
- Advanced computer skills in the MS Office Suite (Microsoft word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Visio, and Power BI).
- Advanced understanding of robust business process Mapping/flows.
- Commercial mindset with understanding of the Industry/Business (Transportation/Logistics related experience in Ocean Transportation, an asset).
- Well-developed business acumen and proven stakeholder consultative approach.
- Strong Presentation and storytelling skills through data.
