The Opportunity
The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning and coordinating of B2B (business to business) initiatives for sales between all departments within the organization – Operations, Finance, Logistics, QA, etc. The primary goals are to plan & coordinate the smooth delivery of packaged product (bulk or finished goods) to outside businesses, coordinate smooth delivery of product being received at Organigram, establish standard operating procedures for various scenarios, and ensure thorough communication to all involved parties to meet timelines. This entails a variety of activities, resulting in a mix of routine and non-routine tasks and communicating with multiple departments both internally and externally.
What you will be doing
- Troubleshoot and problem solve constraints and challenges surrounding B2B sales and operations to improve current practices;
- Carry out activities in accordance with our best practices, policies, procedures, applicable acts, and regulations;
- Remain current with all applicable regulations related to the manufacture through distribution of cannabis products;
- Lead or assist with other tasks and initiatives when required.
- Develop and maintain a B2B scorecard and provide feedback regarding the level of attainment;
- Work directly with vendors to conduct purchasing requirements for the business;
- Work with Finance to ensure payments to vendor are paid as per contract commitments;
- Work closely with the Quality Assurance team as it pertains to organizing the proper documentation required for incoming and outgoing cannabis;
- Key point of contact for all cannabis related purchases and sales initiatives for domestic and international B2B opportunities;
- Develop standard practices for various B2B scenarios;
- Work with the Supply Chain & logistics team to ensure timely shipments and receivables occur;
- Support the Operations team by ensuring communication around B2B needs are known and understood for both purchases and sales;
- Coordinate and ensure execution of the day-to-day activities for materials sampling from warehouse in accordance with GMP regulations;
- Work closely with the Sales Team and Demand Planning team to identify B2B bulk purchasing requirements and B2B bulk sales opportunities;
- Lead Sales and purchasing meetings with key internal stakeholders to ensure timelines are attained;
To qualify, you have...
- Have a positive attitude.
- Bachelor’s degree required;
- Analytical, resourceful, and creative problem solver;
- At least 1-3 years experience in a Sales, manufacturing, Planning, or Project Management environment;
- Excellent organizational skills including attention to detail, ability to handle multiple tasks, short lead-times and adjust priorities will be critical for success;
- Experience in Sales, Business Development, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or related fields preferred;
- Ability to work individually as well as in a team environment;
- Proficient in Microsoft applications;
- Strong decision making and communication (written and verbal) skills;
