Regulatory and Indigenous Engagement Records Compliance Specialist (Part-Time)


Company Description

We are a data management and technology company that specializes in tracking stakeholder engagement and Indigenous consultation for energy and mining projects across Canada and the United States. Our team of experts works closely with clients to implement the proper tools to support their effective and meaningful engagement with stakeholders while respecting Indigenous rights and fostering sustainable development. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a qualified Consultant to join us on a part-time contract basis, focusing on reviewing engagement and consultation logs to ensure they meet client and regulatory requirements.


Job Summary

You will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of stakeholder engagement data for energy and mining projects in Canada, particularly through the permitting process. You will bring your expertise in stakeholder engagement or Indigenous consultation and data management to review, verify, and improve the quality of data collected during the engagement process. Your contributions will directly impact our clients' decision-making processes and enhance the overall effectiveness of stakeholder engagement initiatives.


Responsibilities

  • Identify data quality issues, anomalies, and inconsistencies, and develop strategies to address them effectively.
  • Verify the completeness and integrity of data collected from various sources, including community consultations, meetings, surveys, and written submissions.
  • Conduct comprehensive quality assurance reviews of stakeholder engagement data, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Provide guidance and support to project teams in data management best practices, ensuring compliance with relevant privacy and confidentiality requirements.
  • Support the development of quality control measures, tools, and templates to standardize data collection, entry, and validation processes.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging best practices related to stakeholder engagement and indigenous consultation data management.


Qualifications

  • Understanding of and respect for indigenous cultures, protocols, and traditional knowledge systems.
  • Availability to work part-time, with a flexible schedule to accommodate project demands.
  • Understanding of relevant regulations, standards, and guidelines governing stakeholder engagement and indigenous consultation in Canada, including indigenous rights and consent processes.
  • Familiarity with stakeholder data management software and platforms.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in stakeholder engagement or Indigenous consultation for energy or mining projects in Canada.
  • Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in data management techniques and tools, with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Knowledge of community engagement and consultation principles, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.


Contract Details

  • Part-time contract position.
  • Flexible work schedule with only remote work.
