Equans is looking for an Industrial projects Director, based in Montreal or Ontario.

Job Summary

The main mandate of the industrial project director is to undertake and support projects and commitments. He will have to find methods and ideas to achieve a high level of excellence. In this context, the drivers are technical, financial or human. He will have to use his skills and those of the team. He ensures the success of decarbonation projects, energy optimization and asset renewals for industrial buildings and processes. In collaboration with the business development team, he must be able to identify opportunities, suggest and select solutions as well as coordinate with internal partners and external consulting firms. The mandates are varied and he acts both as technical expert and project manager for Equans and its customers.

Description Of Duties

• Process analysis and design review (P&ID, Process flow diagram, etc.)
• Selection of suppliers
• Request and evaluation of budgets
• Identification and supervision of consultants
• Analysis and definition of client’s needs with the business development team
• Project management process

Requirements

• Demonstrate a good openness to feedback and continuous improvement
• Have a technical background in design and project management/implementation in industrial environments
• Have an engineering degree (specialization in industrial, process or mechanical engineering is an asset)
• Have a good knowledge of pinch analysis and other process analysis
• Strong interest in complex projects and problem solving
• Complete fluency in English is required
• Relevant experience of 10 years minimum
• Be agile with ERP and project management tools
• Proficiency in French preferred
• Be a communicator and have good writing skills
