Position Description:

With the support of the SWPP (Student Work Placement Program) Fun Time Print is creating a Intern position titled Digital Marketing Intern. The intern will work directly with our marketing specialists. The length of the commitment will be a minimum of 4 months with potential to be extended upon request.

Who we are looking for:

Students who are currently enrolled in a post-secondary education and are interested in learning about Digital Marketing and Communications. This is a great opportunity for students who are looking to build their resume and prepare for job hunting after graduation. We will be happy to provide letters of recommendation upon completion of the internship.

What you’ll do/project s you will work on:

• Connect with relevant referrals
• Utilize social networking opportunities to facilitate sales and increase brand awareness
• Devise and execute a marketing plan for various programs
• Prepare and schedule posts for social media
• Working with CEO to build and launch ‘word of mouth’ referral campaign
• Work on our email marketing plan for our list; Inclusive of valuable content
• Social media support: Create and execute a social media marketing plan for Facebook, Instagram and Twitter and others
• Contribute to the creative environment through research and group discussions
• Assist marketers on a variety of projects, including copywriting of marketing materials
• Provide customer support as needed
• Graphic design aspects of various projects

Our ideal candidate:

• Team player
• Effective content writing skills and ability to contribute to marketing and ad campaigns
• Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in communications, marketing, advertising and/or related fields
• Enjoys strategizing and looking for business trends and opportunities
• Positive attitude and a "can do" approach to marketing
• Ability to work in a self-directed environment
• Quick learner who is organized and proactive
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledgeable and enthusiastic about social media
