We are now looking to bring on a talented Digital Director to join our Zulubot team for a Mat Leave cover Contract. We are a close knit team and looking for truly collaborative, positive team-players. If that’s you, then you’ll love it here!
Key Responsibilities
- You will bring together bespoke teams of freelancers, perfectly tailored for each project, manage the team, oversee agile production processes, workflows, budgets, contracts and schedules, ensuring that deadlines are hit.
- You will have an entrepreneurial mindset and always be looking for New Business opportunities, finding areas where we can bring in new business by building our capabilities.
- You will leverage our office space to become a digital creative community hub: setting up a new-tech demo space and also bringing the digital community together through hosting events.
- You will bring a ready-to-go network of digital innovation freelancers and continually look to build this out, making up a large part of the Zulubot Creator Network.
- Assessing feasibility, creating costings and workback schedules, etc;
- You will work with finance to identify and obtain any grants/monies available for digital innovation / R+D projects, that will help maximise our ability to over-deliver on projects.
- Looking to resource the work with in-house employees first, pulling in freelancers where needed – and if absolutely required, partnering with external vendors.
- You will then lead projects through production, working alongside agency producers where appropriate.
- You will nurture existing relationships we have with platform partners like Facebook and Snap (looking to become an official production partner for both as a source of new business), as well as establishing and developing relationships with innovation partners, looking to establish mutually beneficial partnerships to elevate the work and maximise return on investment.
- You will lead and oversee the digital team, having daily check ins, resourcing projects, reviewing processes and implementing new ones if needed.
- You will also lead and oversee production across all digital innovation projects (AR, VR, AI, voice, etc.) with some of our key clients, as part of the new innovation fund.
- You will mentor digital production personnel, showing great leadership, educating and inspiring, while looking to develop their skillsets and manage their career progression.
- You will work alongside creatives and strategists in bringing innovation ideas to life, potentially liaising directly with client in a Project Manager / accounts capacity.
- You will be the main point-person for all digital production coming from the agency:
- You will champion innovation and cutting-edge opportunities across the wider agency, showcasing great work and helping to inspire creative cultural change from more traditional approaches to being truly digital-first.
What we’re looking for
- A curious approach to development in new technologies, and the ability to research and present details on how they may be applied in advertising.
- A passion for continuous learning that leans into the future and embraces the dynamic nature of platforms and technology.
- A history of client facing production experience working with innovation technologies
- A track record of successfully producing and delivering digital experiential projects involving design, development, 3D and asset creation.
- An entrepreneurial approach to leading the projects with autonomy to make business development decisions
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of design, development and content.
- 10+ years of relevant experience working with brands, agencies and platforms
- Hands on knowledge of client relationships, budgeting, timelines and project delivery
- Experience coaching and managing teams to successful outcomes.
- Experience working on large brands, with nuanced and complex strategies.
